PrivacyUpdated 7 October 2026
Your details,
in plain words.
What we collect, why, and how to have it deleted. It takes two minutes to read.
Who we are
Anza Studios is a design and engineering studio in Nairobi, Kenya, run by Leone Metto and Samuel Murungi. We decide how the details described here are used. For anything about your privacy, write to hello@anzastudio.co.
What we collect
- When you send the form: your name, the email address or WhatsApp number you give us, what you write about your project, and which page or website brought you to us.
- When you message or email us: whatever you choose to send.
- When you accept cookies: which pages you visit, what you click, roughly where you are (country and city), and the kind of device and browser you use. We do not see your name or contact details this way.
- On every visit: the company that hosts the site keeps standard technical records, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and stop abuse. The site also checks which country you are in so it can show prices in the right currency.
Why we collect it
- To reply to you and prepare a quote, because you asked us to.
- To do the work and keep accounts, if you become a client.
- To see which pages are useful and improve the site. This happens only if you accept cookies.
We do not sell your details, and we do not send marketing emails or messages to people who have only made an enquiry.
Who handles it for us
These companies process details on our behalf. Some of them store data outside Kenya.
- Formspree delivers the contact form to our inbox.
- Google Analytics counts visits, only after you accept cookies.
- Cloudflare hosts the site.
- Sanity, Fontshare and Google Fonts supply images and typefaces. Your browser contacts them to load those files.
- WhatsApp and our email provider, when you contact us that way.
Cookies and what the site remembers
Before you choose, the site sets no tracking cookies. It remembers three things in your browser: your answer to the cookie question, which currency to show you, and, until you close the tab, how you arrived. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. If you decline, it never loads.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects: 12 months, then we delete them.
- Client projects: for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
- Visit statistics: 14 months.
Your rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how we use it. Write to hello@anzastudio.co and we will answer within 14 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
Changes
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top.
